Daddy Daughter Podcast: Episode 8

We finally got behind the mic again to record the first ever episode from the new Studio C…well, it’s temporary but the facility will remain the same. Ava was eager to chat and with it being much more convenient now, hopefully we’ll be able to get shows out there more consistently. Of course, it’s always hard to say with an almost 5-year old.

We talked about the most recent movie we saw in theatres – The Croods. Ava summed it up in one word – funny. Then we realized there were a few new movies on her iPad. In Hotel Transylvania (which we also saw in theatres) her favorite character is Mavis, the girl vampire. We talked about Wreck-it-Ralph (again one we saw in theatres) about her favorite character. Hands down it was “The Glitch” Vanellope von Schweetz. I think she’s seen the movie quite a few times as she went in to great detail about the mini-game at the bakery where you have just one-minute to build a car.

From an adult perspective, I can’t say that I’d disagree with her thoughts and reviews on the movies. They all provided great laughs and quality family time together.

We also couldn’t help but look ahead to the summer of movies we’re hoping to see – Monsters University, Smurfs 2, Despicable Me 2, Turbo and Planes. We’ll definitely be spending some days indoors, especially if the weather continues this way!

Thanks for tuning in. We look forward to chatting with you again soon.

Daddy Daughter Podcast: Episode 7

Three episodes in one-week. Ava is clearly loving the new gear as much as her daddy is. Today happened to be a Saturday so we had lots to talk about in the afternoon. We went to IKEA for breakfast and play time – a free sanity break for myself and the other parents that leave their kids no doubt. After that it was off to Calaway Park, an amusement park just west of Calgary. She definitely loved the fact that we found the kids area this time with a small roller coaster, swings and train ride. Though she was upset she’s not tall enough for the Vortex roller coaster. Thanks for tuning in.

Daddy Daughter Podcast: Episode 6

Apparently Ava has been getting excited for doing “talks” again, so we bring you another episode of Daddy Daughter Podcast. As much as she wanted to talk, it was a very quick episode covering essentially the fact that her school was closed. Who knew? Another school break apparently in Alberta…or at least Calgary. Thanks for tuning in.

Daddy Daughter Podcast: Episode 5

After a long break we’re back…for at least one episode! In today’s podcast we talk about going to the park, building a clay robot at 4 Cats and not going to play soccer. Ava has definitely grown up a bit and was happy to talk tonight. Thanks for tuning in.

Daddy Daughter Podcast: Episode 4

In today’s podcast we talk about going to see the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked movie at the theatre. And that was about all the discussion we had. For being so early in the morning, I’m surprised Ava had any attention span. Off to make waffles for breakfast. Thanks for tuning in.

Daddy Daughter Podcast: Episode 3

In today’s podcast we talk about going to IKEA for breakfast. If you haven’t gone there for breakfast, we both highly recommend it. From a kids perspective, the food is great. From a parents view point, there’s no better value available for a decent meal. We also touch briefly on the Chipmunk movie that comes out in theatres next week – December 16 to be precise. We argue over who owns the iPad and based on toddler law, clearly it’s Ava. She also says that we should have a house https://buycbdproducts.com Hawaii, which I gladly agree with. The only things is we don’t have the millions of dollars to by a place. And of course waffles and pancakes make their way in to the conversation as well. This episode is nice and quick and filled with laughter and good times. Enjoy.

Daddy Daughter Podcast: Episode 2

In today’s podcast we talk about red fire trucks, police guys (and their cars) and how Ava hasn’t been in one. For the record I have and it was the front seat voluntarily when in elementary school. Though I’m thinking about asking a cop friend for a ride along in the ‘hood. We mention that mommy is off to Vegas for a conference even as well. Seems like she’s always gone, but she’s not — it’s just when we record. There’s a brief mention of my Pentax Camera, which is actually a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 and is waterproof and shock proof too. She takes some great photos with it. And of course Ava still wants to see Chipmunks. This episode is nice and quick and filled with laughter and good times. Enjoy.
